Kristen Anne Bell was born in the year 1980. She is an American actress and singer. Bell is an Michigan native, born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). She has Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's passion for acting was discovered at a very young age. She won her role as Raggedy Ann in 1992 after going to the first audition. Bell was appointed by her mom to become an agent when she was thirteen years old. Bell was later chosen for the newspaper advertisements and commercials for TV. In the same year she began taking classes in acting. Bell played an uncredited character in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School, which was where she participated in both the music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz production at the high school she attended earned her the role of the lead Dorothy role. Bell was then transferred in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She studied musical theater there. Bell quit studying in the year 2001 and assumed the role of Becky who is a character from Tom Sawyer. Bell made her debut film credit in Pootie Tang during 2001. Her scene, however cut, and her only appearance is in the end credits. Bell made an appearance in Broadway for the first time in The Crucible, a revival which featured Liam Neeson with Angela Bettis.
